Michael James Nelson

Michael James Nelson was produced by Helga and Dartanian Nelson on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi. He was then born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was orphaned off by his beloved Helga and Dartanian, to Shane and Bonny Misty from Ocala, Florida. He then disappeared for fifteen years and was later found in a Karaoke room in Tokyo, Japan singing Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” while pounding Happoshu.

After graduating from Florida State University “cum magna cum summa cum laude” with a purple heart, Michael moved to a very small town on the west coast of the United States known by the locals as, “Los Angeles” to begin a lucrative career as a clown psychologist. Michael quickly realized that clowns are way too f’ed up to fix, so he began a new career writing for many comedy outlets including, National Lampoon’s website, National Lampoon radio on XM Satellite, VH1, and MTV. He has also been a writer/producer on shows for ABC, The CW, Bravo, MTV, DreamWorks, and VH1.

Michael has performed on the main stage of “The World Famous Comedy Store”, “The Laugh Factory”, “The Hollywood Improv”, “The Comedy Cellar” in New York City, and did the audience warm-up performance for ABC’s “The Women Tell All.” Michael has trained at The Groundlings Theater, BANG Improv Studio, and IO West. He is currently studying improvisation at The Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles.

Michael also plays the lead role in the comedy web series “Xavier Montclair: Cell Phone Ring Tone Composer” and was recently featured on The Oxygen Network’s television series “Pretty Wicked.” Michael’s work has also been featured on the front page of “Funny Or Die.”

He is currently working on a ton of comedy projects, performing comedy all of the time, and trying to rise above his nasty addiction of LOST.
